Marshfield High's Alex Garcia-Silver became the first runner from his school to win back-to-back state cross country championships since Steve Prefontaine in 1967-68. Garcia-Silver won the Class 4A title by nearly 20 seconds in 15:22.2 at Lane Community College in Eugene.
